The creations at Schlossküche Walpersdorf Blauenstein are young and imaginative, always fresh and full of flavors. A bright interior makes for a cozy atmosphere. Guests are offered a fairytale ambience within walls steeped in history. The Renaissance castle was built in 1571. Stone by stone. Today it presents itself in a contemporary style and combines culture and enjoyment to perfection. The Blauensteiner family is responsible for this. Head chef Roswitha Dornhofer focuses on local dishes with classic and modern interpretations. Seasonal food, home-grown produce and regional partnerships form the basis of the upscale tavern cuisine. The organic meat is sourced from the Höllerschmid family in Walkersdorf, around 20 kilometers away. Fruit and vegetables also come from the region.

The regional products are prepared - and served - to the highest standards in the castle kitchen. The attention to detail on the plate is visible. As are the fresh and seasonal ingredients. Castle classics such as soup pot, fried chicken, boiled beef and Beuschel ensure a harmonious whole. The tagliolini with prawns and chanterelles are listed on the menu as a "Chef's Special". The two landlords, Sandra and Martin Blauensteiner, take care of the service themselves and are happy to advise on the extensive wine list. The ballroom is often used for classical concerts. Tip: a picnic in the castle garden. The Blauensteiner family will provide you with a full basket.
